The differences that matter

One of us will tell you the price.

Podium’s pricing page shows no dollar figures — you’re routed to "talk to our sales team," and their AI Employee add-on is the same: "contact us for more details on pricing." Center prints the whole ladder right here: $24, $49, or $149 a month, 30 days free on any of them. [1]

Read the contract before the demo call.

Podium’s own Terms of Service set a 12-month initial term that auto-renews unless you give written notice at least a month before it’s up, and fees are non-refundable once paid. Center has no term to renew — cancel any day, keep your number and your client list. [3]

Ours starts in two minutes. Theirs starts with a call to them.

Every path we found into Podium’s AI Employee is "Get a demo" — we didn’t find a self-serve way to turn it on. Center’s /start builds your page, prices your services, and picks up your line in about a minute, no sales call required. [2]

For salons and med spas, theirs still texts back. Ours answers.

Podium’s aesthetics/wellness assistant, Avery, lists live phone answering as "Coming soon" — today it handles calls, texts, and chats after hours over text, and it’s built for med spas and aesthetic clinics, not salons or barbershops. Center answers every call live, on every plan, from day one, in any trade. [5]

Center remembers your regulars. We didn’t find that on their pages.

Every Center plan remembers your clients — the usual, the gate code, the dog’s name — and it compounds call after call. We read Podium’s most detailed AI product page (their HVAC assistant, Larry) end to end and didn’t find a matching feature for cross-visit client memory or notes back to the owner. [4]

Where Podium is genuinely ahead

As of the date on this page: Podium has been building this since 2014 and says it’s reaching 100,000 businesses — reviews management, website webchat, and payments breadth (BNPL, subscriptions, card readers) all ship today, and none of them are things we offer. Their HVAC assistant, Larry, books straight onto a real dispatch board with live technician availability — a level of scheduling-system integration we don’t match yet. If reputation management, webchat, or dispatch-depth scheduling for an HVAC business is your top priority today, Podium is the more complete product right now.

  2. Podium’s AI Employee product page: "Podium AI Employee is an add-on available for any base plan. Please contact us for more details on pricing." 3. Podium Terms of Service (v6.3, effective 2025-06-17): "the initial term for any Subscription to the Services is twelve (12) months" (§8.1), auto-renewing for equal periods unless either party gives written non-renewal notice at least one month before the term ends, sent to [email protected]; "Subscription Fees are non-refundable and non-creditable" (§7.2); if Podium terminates for cause, fees for the full remaining term are owed (§8.3). podium.pactsafe.io/versions/67eaecef1d0aa2d97be30a75.pdf · checked Jul 13, 2026
  4. Podium’s HVAC-branded voice AI ("Larry"): "Voice AI captures the issue and gets a same-day technician on the way with no transfers and no waiting," and "Larry books directly onto your dispatch board with real technician availability and real calendar access. He doesn’t hand off to a human to finish the booking." 5. Podium’s aesthetics/wellness AI ("Avery") lists live phone-call answering under "Coming soon": "Answers phone calls with a human-like voice to handle questions and book appointments." Today it "Manages all calls, texts, and chats outside business hours" over text. The page is titled "AI Employee for Aesthetic Practices & Med Spas" — we did not find a salon- or barbershop-specific product. aesthetics.podium.com/ai/avery · checked Jul 13, 2026
  6. Podium Reviews automates "textable review invites," consolidates Google, Facebook, and other review sites into "an all-in-one inbox," and includes an "AI Reputation Specialist" that drafts invites and replies. podium.com/product/reviews · checked Jul 13, 2026

Straight answers

Is this page fair?

Every claim about Podium above links to their own published page or Terms of Service, with the date we checked it. Where Podium wins, the row says so with no spin — see the reviews, webchat, payments, and dispatch-booking rows. If we got something wrong or it’s gone stale, email us and we’ll fix it within a week.

Why can’t I find Podium’s price anywhere?

We looked. Their pricing page has no dollar figures — it routes you to "talk to our sales team," and their AI Employee add-on is "contact us for pricing." Ours are printed on this page: $24, $49, or $149 a month.

What does Center honestly not have yet?

A reviews/reputation product, a website webchat widget, and Podium’s breadth of payment options (BNPL, subscriptions, card readers) — all real Podium products we don’t match. Their HVAC assistant also books straight onto a dispatch board; our calendar sync doesn’t go that deep yet.

Can I just try both?

You can start Center yourself right now — 30 days free — and forward your line to it for a week. Trying Podium’s AI Employee starts with booking a demo with their sales team, since we didn’t find a self-serve way to turn it on.
