## What an agent can do here

Status vocabulary: LIVE = built and serving today. PREVIEW = request access, shapes may
change before GA. SPECCED = designed in a committed spec, not built.

- **Discover pros** — LIVE. Every public pro page carries schema.org JSON-LD and a
  machine-readable agent card at https://trycenter.com/{handle}/agent.json naming that pro's real
  services and published prices, plus that pro's MCP server (Streamable HTTP, JSON-RPC)
  and a web-chat endpoint. No key required.
- **Book — the price is published** — PREVIEW. `POST /v1/agent/bookings`: one round-trip
  purchase against live inventory. It is bookable because the pro published a price for it —
  that published price IS the test, which is why the contract is called Book. Answers HTTP
  402 with a fee envelope first. Contract: https://trycenter.com/developers/contracts/book.json
- **Quote — request a quote** — PREVIEW. `POST /v1/agent/quotes`: Center calls several pros
  in parallel, AI-disclosed, captures each answer verbatim, and returns bids carrying the
  pro's own pricing and an expiry. Most rounds complete in 15–45 minutes. An accepted bid is
  a listed price of one — for that buyer, valid until it expires — which is why the two

- **Settlement** — SPECCED. Fees are captured at purchase but
  earned only at completion; no-shows, cancellations, and lapsed holds auto-refund. The
  first payment lane is a prepaid balance or invoice reference. Native x402 settlement is
  designed but NOT live — do not describe it as available.
- **Signed receipts** — SPECCED. A compact JWS over the
  receipt claims, verifiable offline.

## Honesty rules that apply to this surface

- Prices are prices the pro actually published. A pro with no listed price renders as
  "price on request", never as a guess.
- Quotes are the pro's verbatim words. Center never negotiates, rounds, or invents a figure.
- A pro who has not opted in is absent, not "listed but unbookable".
- A quote-round bid that was no_answer, machine, or declined is reported as itself — never a fake
  success.
- No invented ratings, counts, coverage areas, or fees. Fees are TBD until published.
